Gotta say... I love this idea! I was loathe to leave behind our homegrown view system, but NVelocity is a better way of doing this. I always wondered how to do the MVC pattern with a MUD.

I've used a derivate of NVelocity called Maverick.net. This was for a brand new website that integrated with MS Great Plains accounting software. I was quite surprised at how well it worked. One of my past co-workers is the creator of Maverick.net. His background is Java, and he ported a fair amount of Java stuff to .NET.

I must admit I ^borrowed^ the idea from the Castle Project after using it on a site that I created recently.

It was easy to use, and I believe it will fit very well with our structure. The idea being that our room text (and other descriptions as well) can contain some small bits of logic to help the render process, ie if its dark a player might not be able to see items.
