Db schemas for items and mobs

Is the Controller sort of like the Parent/Container object?

I'll upload some schema diagrams once you answer that. ;)

Sorry, im not really getting the question.

On a mob the IController interface is implemented by Brain, but it is also implemented by our session object which means that a user can take control of a mob very easily. It doesnt really have anything to do with stuff we need persisted.

The schema looks fine to me.

Im not quite sure how we should do Item behaviours.

Im torn between two options...

1. You will hate this as a dba
Put the Behaviour info ie a drink has a number of sips into an xml string and store that in a column as part of the item table

2. Each behaviour gets its own table which relates back to an item ie there is a Drink table which contains a column numSips etc

I actually have worked with 2 projects at my current employer that deal with this sort of situation. I'll come up with a design that will work for us. :)

Alright, I posted a new picture in the item db issue. The ParentID is for the specific object in our system.
