Getting the Source

First thing you need to do is to install a Subversion client if you already don't have one. The most popular one is TortoiseSVN. You can download it from here: http://tortoisesvn.net/

IMPORTANT: If you haven't used TortoiseSVN or any source control clients before, please check out the tutorials below, once you download and install TortoiseSVN. This will get you up to speed on the basics.

Checkout with TortoiseSVN

Highlight this full URL and "Copy" it: https://wheelmud.svn.codeplex.com/svn
Create a folder where you want to house the source code, IE D:\code\WheelMUD.
Right-click that folder and select "SVN Checkout".

The SVN Checkout dialog should appear, with the "URL of repository" filled in with the URL you Copied earlier.
CodeSetup2[1].gif
Click OK. Downloading the source for the first time may take a few minutes. It lists out files that it has copied, and will let you know when it is done.

Once complete, your WheelMUD directory structure should look something like this:

(The "binDebug" and "binRelease" folders will be created after building the server in Debug or Release profiles, respectively.)
